So i have a used is250 RWD MT
and occasonaily when i sit the car outside under the sun, something in the back would rattle. Its either a rattle or static from the sub, but this only happens when the car is under direct sun light for a long time.

Does anyone else have this problem?

 

check the trunk for loose items?

 

theres nothing in the trunk haha I even took out the spare.

 

I have the same problem in my is350 06.... It makes a "snap-crackle and pop" sound... It goes away, then comes back and is very annoying and loud sometimes

 

hahaha yup! Im happy it only happens when i drive alone :]
But it would be embarassing if i was driving other... Since i dont even have my PLATES yet! lol

If so, I fixed mine by following Lexus GS TSIB (can be found in that thread). I had to partially remove the headliner to reach the plastic tabs that were creating the noise.

 

I had this annoying rattling noise from behind with my car before. After many visit at the dealership it shows up that the problem was the rear windshield. The tech had to re-glue the whole rear windshield to get rid of the problem. No funny noise after that.
