On the '94 ES300, are the lights supposed to flash when unlocking and locking? Because, mine don't. If they are, what should I check for?
AFAIK, from my old '96 ES, the lights don't flash to signal lock/unlock from the master remote. The only signal you get is the audible beep.

No, the lights do not flash.
There should be a beep sound. One beep when you lock the doors, and 2 beeps when you unlock.
On the dash to the left of the steering wheel, there is a control labeled "Remote Vol." (It is directly to the right of the outside rear view mirror control.) This adjusts the volume of the beeps you should hear when using the remote key. Perhaps the volume is turned down so low that you can't hear it. Turn it to the right (clockwise) to increase the volume.
