Thumbs up

I'd call it a spoiler rather than a rear wing flip lol. Appearance wise I think on the 02+ models it look sharp.

Rear wing = spoiler. It may look good to you, but it's still pointless. Spoiler/rear wings are made for downforce.....something you need on rwd cars to keep the wheels planted down. On a front wheel drive car like the ES, it serves NO purpose but asthetics period. The ES looks fine as it is...a spoiler just makes it look out of proportion if you ask me. You probably think a spoiler is only for looks....EH?

Hey.....What kind of speeds are you talking about for this "downforce"! Spoilers are pointless for the majority of cars that are sold with them or are aftermarket appendages. They are strictly a fashion statement whether you like it or not.

Red face

Thank you amf well said & NO flip, I'm well aware of the purpose(s) of what a spoiler is for & I was simply giving my opinion EH! the point was I like the spoiler on the 02+ ES, on the previous generation I think it should stay off from an appearance standpoint........functionality wise? amf said it, what kind of speed are we talking about before the "downforce" even comes into play? cause I dought it has much effect (if any) at interstate speeds.

Is that how you spell DOUBT in Canada eh?

Still ugly but oh well. To each his own. I bet if you posted that in the other forums here in CL, people will say otherwise and possibly laugh at it. But whatever you guys like, I think the spoiler in my opinion looks cheesy . I feel sorry for the sucker who buys that on their car from the dealership thinking it came on there from the "factory". Dealer markup always owns unsuspecting buyers.

BTW, lets stay on topic please. If you wanna talk about spoilers on an ES, start a new thread.

And your point? There are many redundant topics of many items. It wont benefit me to search the ES forums for old threads. Perhaps for you and a few others.

Cool

If you aint doing 120mph with a wing designed to add downforce, you're just slowing yourself down barring special circumstances.
