Engine noise
Hi, new to this forum first post. Wife has a 2005 Lexus ES 330 has around 250,000 miles.
I’m a 30 year GM tech so all our cars are meticulously maintained. Long story short car sat
in driveway for 4 days, she goes too start the car and engine is making noise. I get home
start the car and sure enough engine is knocking ? I’m dumbfounded as to how it was
perfect fine before it sat in the driveway, and know the engine is knocking . Any
suggestions on this issue. Thanks.

Aloha Rowdy, Mine is a 2007 ES350 178K miles. My car makes a tick knock at idle. Higher pitch than a rod but lower that a valve tic. I went fore a drive up the mountain, 70-80 mph a lot of the way. Ran about 2 hours and gone when I got home. Now I drive about 10 miles one way to the store and it is starting to come back. I haven't found what it is yet but looking forward to the mountain soon!
