Default Timing belt

Good evening, in October 2021 I bought a 2006 Lexus ES 330. It had 5617 miles. I immediately put new tires on it changed all the fluids I live in Central Florida and I work at Disney World part time as of today I have driven the car almost 71,000 miles. I use full synthetic oil I’ve had to put an alternator on it. I put new dry belts on it. I have done regular maintenance and oil changes anywhere between five and 7000 miles with full synthetic oil ( Amilie 5-20) probably spelled that wrong. I just had the coolant changed new top and bottom radiator hoses so I really keep the maintenance up but my question to anybody with good knowledge about this very reliable 3.3 engine is the timing belt, even though the mileage is not up the age of the car should I take it in and get it done? What should I ask them to do a complete timing belt kit? I will say that the car was bought at an estate. It sat in the garage since it was new when I changed the drive belt they really didn’t need changing, but I just had them do it because I put a new alternator on I’m assuming and that’s all I can do that. The timing belt is in good shape but I just wanted to know from the experts here. Thank you very much. I look forward to reading some advice, thank you, Rocky

If you drive mainly freeway miles (sounds like you do) then your timing belt isn't due until at least 100,000. Constant stop/go traffic stresses the belt far more.

Yes there is some stop and go traffic, but mostly the freeway, but my thinking is that it’s 15 years past the age require requirement to be changed but not the mileage. Thank you

Age of belt is somewhat controversial, in my experience a 20 year old belt on a low mileage car looks pristine. But it's still a risk less than zero.

For sure.
The belt is getting old so "how lucky do you feel" is the question. Lol

Belts are rubber, rubber ages regardless of use. (Ages worse when not in use, actually). I would take it in and get it changed. If it isn't miles, it's wear. Too much of a gamble of when it will go, not if for me. Have them do timing belt, water pump, tensioner, and whatever else is in there while they're in there. Aisin makes a kit for the LS400 with all the "good to dos" while in there. I would think they or someone else has the same for these cars.

Default Chang it Now

Replace the belt ASAP. Lexus and Toyota 4 cylinders are true non-interference engines, but the 6 cylinder ones - especially ones with variable valve timing are definitely not guaranteed to be undamaged if the belt breaks.
