Hi All,
I'm new to this club and asking for some help.
I bought a used 2015 ES300h with 125,000 miles abouth 4 weeks ago. For the last 5 days I have been getting the "check power steering system " on my dash. Sometimes 2X a day sometimes 1X while I was driving the car normally. The first time it happened, I got the warning light but the power steering was still working and the warning went away and the second time it happened that's when I lost power on my steering wheel on the same day. Yesterday morning, right after I started the car I got the warning light right a way. One site that I saw said to turn off the car, start it back on and do the lock to lock on your steering wheel. Turn off and back on and the car will be fine for the rest of the day.
And that's what I have been doing.
Does anyone having this kind of experience on their ES300h? Is this a known issue with ES300h?
I cannot find any videos out there regarding this kind of issue on ES300h's.
Thank you in advance.

Need to read the codes to do any kind of diagnostic.
A guy at work had an issue with torque sensor on 2018+ Camry - ended up replacing the whole steering rack for $3k. But 6th gen ES has a totally different steering rack design.

Thanks NdYAG. I hope that's not my case. I read something online but for different model that you need to re-seat the connector under the battery but did not provide any pictures or anything. The 12V battery location on ES300h is in the trunk. I'm hoping that someone will share something with their experience. Thanks again.
I believe it’s a fully electric power steering system which mean you should be able to learn the culprit with a quality code reader, you probably need to get a shop to look at it, good news is, they are usually pretty reliable and affordable to repair, so take it to a shop as soon as you get a chance
