Default Where does this connection go?

Hello all, I started my es 300 today and noticed the brake light was on, ok so I check my fluid and it was a bit low so I topped it off, still got the brake light. Next I do a Quick Look at my pads and everything is good. Then I get in my car and notice this cable hanging loose, and I can't, for the life of me figure out where in the heck it plugs into 🫤 if anyone here is able to help I'd greatly appreciate it, thanks

That doesn't look factory most likely some sort of aftermarket device.

It has a trailer hitch on it so wasn't sure if it was something to do with that, just noticed it hanging down at the same time my brake light came on. Which by the way is illuminated constantly, so I'm thinking it has something to do with the Ebrake sensor or the sensor on the brake fluid reservoir

It’s more likely wired to the brake pedal sensor, not the reservoir. That’s nonsensical.

I’ve installed a lot of trailering wiring, also removed it (as recently as last weekend). Nothing trailer related ever runs off the reservoir or ebrake. That makes as much physical sense as taking a pulse from a corpse. Think it through…

I just saw that it was hanging down in the vicinity of the Ebrake right about the same time my brake light came on I'm still unsure what it's purpose is but nonetheless I came across This and it turns out the exact same thing that happened to this guy happened to me maybe a bit before 25 miles but regardless the light is now out, so it appears it was a sticking brake fluid reservoir sensors. Thanks all for the responses
