Default Handbrake Problems

Hey guys,
I'm new to this forum and I have a 1992 SC400. Can anyone tell me how to fix my handbrake? It's completely disconnected, however, when i pull it, the "brake" light comes up. I'm not sure if this is relevant or not, but when i'm hitting a sharp turn going relatively fast or when i gun it from a stop the "brake" light comes on again. Any help appreciated, i'm not that great with cars, but hey i'm just starting out.

I cannot help you with the handbrake issue as that is one area of this car I have yet to delve into, however regarding the brake light coming on while in motion - check your brake resevoir. The light comes on to let you know the fluid level is getting low. It would also be a good idea to check your brake pads & rotors, as when the pads begin to wear down significantly you will see some decrease in fluid level. Checking the rotor wear is just a good idea since you'll be down there anyway & it will let you know if they need to be turned or replaced when you replace your pads.

I believe the brake light comes on to let you know your ebrake is on. There is a switch located on the ebrake base. The brake light comes on while turning a corner probably because your ebrake is disassembled, so whilee turning, your ebrake handle is moving on closing the circuit for the ebrake light
