The headlight level sensor warning came on and I found this on the rear passenger side of the car. After some thought I asked a friend if he would look at welding it later this week. Any thought as to whether this is a good or bad approach to a repair Rear Passenger side
There is usually a good cause for those snapping off, which mostly ends up being the ball joints on the rod connecting the sensor seizing up, I've had that happen before, but since the control arm was toast anyway, I ended up replacing the whole thing. With that, it's not like there are any tremendous loads on the hanger, so if you can do a weld solid enough to support its own weight, you will be good.
Thanks, I will check the ball joint Thursday. What I noticed is the break occurred over time. Parts were clearly rusted, just a small bit was shinny metal.
