I saw a YouTube video of my car's exact year & model referring to taking out the cabin air filter, it showed clips on either side. As usual, it's not the same on my 07 ES 350, I have no clips to get it out and my manual isn't any help of course. I tried using telepathy to get it to come out but that didn't work either!

 

Are you talking about the clips on the white plastic cover?

 

Yes! Mine have no clips

 

Maybe the clips are broken so just pull the cover.

 

Agreed, mine has clips also so yours has probably broken. They're probably fairly cheap to replace?

I don't have a white plastic cover! I see black felt same material as redtbof glove box with a thing that's supposed to pop out but doesn't. Guess ill have to try a screwdriver.

 

 

The black felt cover should move slightly upward and then open from the top like a dishwasher door. The filter will be behind it.

 

I finally figured that out lol!"The left clip was useless so needed to use a screwdriver to get the thing out! Pain in the *** 😞
