ES350 Features
I recently bought a 2016 ES350 and as I was trying to go through the manual, I realized that I did not know which of all the bells and whistles covered (e.g., safety features) were actually included in my car. Anyone know how to find out? Possibly through the VIN?
Use this link to join (free) the Lexus Drivers Site. Enter your VIN to see the build sheet with the features/options on your vehicle. You can also see the dealer service history.
It is a great resource when used car shopping. Toyota has the same thing.

Thank you tootsall. I tried my vin on this web site which also us based & they wanted $30+to do a spec's report or car fax. I registered with lexus canada, but they did not offer vin original spec's for lookup. On chat they suggested i telephone. I may do this at a later time. I bought the car used at the toyota dealership,so maybe they can assist

Yes, Lexus Canada will tell you "diddly" about your car. They will not release any service records; I had quite an "interesting" phone conversation with them when I tried to get those for mine. They never did say why that was their policy. I never tried Toyota...my car was previously a leased unit in Calgary and I bought it from the same Lexus dealership that originally leased it out...it was just off lease when I got it in '19.
I have used that site to check my wife's RAV, and a couple of North American brand vehicles as well.

Just tried again, "bumper" wants us $ to do a report-public records are not free. I already have a car fax report. I also have the maintenance records from j patterson. Lexus, x lease car. They gave me a print out of the premium model options, but not the exact build info. Oh well worth a try. "made in japan"
Most strange: I just went there and had no problems at all getting info for my '14. If you do want Carfax then of course that's something you have to pay for as Carfax does not give them away. It won't give you maintenance/repair info...just the build list as represented by the VIN, so they also advise that some items listed may be more 'general' and not specific to your exact vehicle but it's pretty darn close in most regards.

I'm in Ontario and i logged onto the site and it only provided me with the basic standard equipment info. My model a 2013, is Ultra Premium yet there is no
specific mention of Levinson stereo, auto rear window shade, upgraded tires and rims , technology package , leather upgrade etc.
I bought the car last May and something that would list everything the car has would be very useful. Thanks
Thanks to tootsall who was able to log in with my vin & obtained most of the body build info from the web site. & forwarded it to me. Yes it is a bit general , but did fill us in on some interesting features. The canadian lexus should be more willing to provide the build info. As the us does. Hopefully, they will keep us informed of any recalls or updates on our models in the future like the navigation enform 3g situation etc.
Thanks for replying Avylex. Im going to call the local Lexus dealership after my work week is complete to see if they can provide me with the build information for
my 2013 ES350, also i will ask them about being informed of future recall and updates, i know for a fact the navigation maps are out of date. Glad i got the Lexus .. I have owned Camrys since 1998 .. last one a 2016 xse v6 .. i sold it and bought the Lexus .. much better ride and more comfort too. Thanks

Be aware that pre 2015?...(or 2016?) all ES 350 were built in Japan and after that some in the US (if your VIN starts with "1", then US; otherwise "J" for Japan), only so the Lexus.com website should return the correct build information. Not sure when (or even if) the 300H was built in US so that may be why there is some discrepancy as to what Lexus.com (the US site) will give you info on. I know that the Lexus.ca (Canadian) site has diddly poop info available...essentially useless. The "universal" site that I listed states that it only provides info that is definable by the VIN number...from that you can take it that if there is equipment installed by the importer (Lexus US or Lexus Canada) or by the dealer then the VIN from that site will not acknowledge that hardware.
Note to AVYLEX: the colour code is listed on the data plate (Driver door jamb) just below the VIN. From that you can get the correct colour and interior info from the listings in that stuff I sent you.

I guess, considering the way Lexus (and probably all manufacturers) fool around with the equipment/features of the various "selling packages", it may be that the VIN system doesn't keep up.
I know that neither of the VIN definition pages mentioned here state that mine has auto-levelling headlights...but it does. Possibly because that feature was part of the "Touring" package that is also not listed (but the car has all of the features listed under "Touring" in the brochure for that model year)? Who knows (that will tell)? Also, don't forget that sometimes the different package hardware might change part way through a model year. One thing I've noticed is that some dealers (here in Canada, anyway) will list a model as having the "Executive" package on some used models...but nowhere in the Lexus literature is that mentioned.
