1999 es300. Have had it a few months. CEL and TO Lights came on and off intermittently- then stayed on for 3 weeks. On the advice of an amateur 4es owner - i replaced both oil control valves aka vvt solenoids amd cleaned the small filters below them. Reconnected battery. Lights have been off for 120 miles and counting.

replying to my own post. Alnist exactly one year later, cel 1153 and 0420 again! Can the vvt go bad that fast?
