Default CEL - VSC - TRAC off Lights Answers

I've used the SEARCH and ---

I've been reading about these lights for over an hour about what may be causing these lights to come on and about the fault codes. Everything from gas cap, air filter, MAF needs cleaned, vacuum hose off below filter box, etc.

Has anyone come up with answers to reset the VSC and TRAC off lights?

I'm going to have Auto Zone scan the codes for me today after work and begin trying to resolve the problem this weekend. Just looking for others who have had this problem and found a fix.

I have a 2001 RX300 SilverSport 2wd, automatic trans.

Any suggestions are appreciated and thanks in advance.

The VSC and Trac lights come on with the CEL. Doesn't mean there's necessarily anything wrong with those systems.

There are many possibilities, no point in guessing.

Post the CEL code's here once you get them.

Yeah, but in order to get anything remotely helpful from those responses you need to know which CEL code you have.

Here are the codes and info AutoZone scanned for me.

C0210

Right rear speed signal malfunction

C1223

ABS Malfunction

P0174

Any ideas of what to do next?

Cleaning MAF and installing new air filter, also will check vacuum hose/tube below air filter box this weekend. Checked gas cap, seems OK and sealed tight.

Thanks again in advance for any help or suggestions.

Start by pulling the right rear wheel and visually inspect the wheel speed sensor and its wiring up to the harness.

I know this comes up all of the time -

Do you mean the right rear - passenger side?

Are there any pictures of the wheel sensor location under the wheel?

Yes US passenger side. (from the perspective of the seated driver, the right side.)

Once the wheel is off you will see one and only one electrical line running near the hub. The wheel speed sensor is about the size of a spark plug.

All of the above. But yours will be related to the codes you pulled.

Put in a new air filter and cleaned the MAF.

Unplugged the battery for 1 hour, re-connected, no warning lights so far.
I've driven for around 40 miles now.

I had a K&N drop in filter that looks pretty dirty. Gonna clean it this weekend.

Cleaned MAF and replaced gas cap, Installed new air filter.

Reset codes.

They came back after driving to work around 15 miles.

Going to clean the wheel sensor as soon as the weather gets better.

Anything thing else I can try?
