I dont think my ES has that cause there are no plugs that plug into the strut and no buttons inside my car to control it.

Is it a direct replacement between Camry and ES ?
Is there modification required?
The JIC coilover seem to require a little modification. The upright is wider than the gap between the twin vertical mounting plate on the strut by about 1/16 of an inch.
I did get a confirmation that the JIC coilover between Camry and ES300 97-01 have the same part number.
So we are going to make it fit by widening the twice vertical plates a bit.

Seems like a few here know a lot about struts, so I will ask this here. What strut offers the softest, smoothest ride? I am trying to decide whether or not to get the original Toyota struts from the dealer, or get Monroe sensa-tracs. I have heard that the Monroe sensa-tracs are the softest riding aftermarket strut. Anyone else have any opinions? What strut would have a softer ride- the factory Toyota strut, or the Sensa-trac from Monroe? Toyota struts are $135. each and the Monroes are $77. each for the rear and $89. each for the front. Thanks.

That is correct. The Sensatracs do handle alot better than stock format struts.
