Default A/C Struggles

Okay. So I replaced compressor and condenser plus drier on 1998 Lexus ES300

Vacuumed system, system responded appropriately. System then held vacuum for 30-45 minutes.

My issue is my air is now cool, but not cold. At best during the heat of the day I get around 60 degrees blowing on high from center vent.

Two things, during filling I did forget to clear intake manifold line for a/c guages. Likely possibility small amount of air made its way into system. But my novice experience doesn't know if that is a big enough deal to cause my issues. Second during filling o-ring on loaner manifold gauges blew, spewing an undetermined amount of coolant before I was able to safely remove. I then finished filling purely based on low side measurements.

Once noticing air was not hitting target range got second manifold set and measured 40/150-175 more to the 150 side, sun out temps around 83-85. Recognizing that was the absolute lowest end of the acceptable range I decided to add more refrigerant. To my surprise system took an entire 12 ounce can! Readings on low dipped to around 36-38 and high side increased to a constant 175-180. Sun had now set, ambient temps still held at about 83-84 degrees, but I was able to get 45 degrees blowing from center vent on low. On high maybe closer to 50 ish. But noticibly cooler.

This morning vehicle was pretty cool on way to church, but after baking in sun and returning home air on high gave me 60-62 degrees, lowest temp, low fan gave me 55 degrees.

Suggestions on where to go from here? Could small amount of air from manifold distribute enough moisture to give me these issues, should I add more refrigerant? How can I get my icy cold air back!

Oh yeah, for sure. Lexus Tech said center vent should be blowing at 44 degrees.

I can get darn close on the interstate.

Make sure you DON'T overfill it!!! I did on my car and it blew an oring somewhere, now I have to find a leak and fix it.
Watch several videos on how to diagnose and refill system and PROPERLY check temperature.
