Which senser controls speedometer and how to check?

its under the airbox . simple to access and replace

There are Two sensors on the ES300. The VSS is by the starter and you must remove the air filter box to get at it and the other sensor is the clutch sensor which can be seen without removing anything. Both magnetic sensors are identical on the 1999 ES300. SO i assume 1999-2001 should be that same.
