Help! Anti theft system won't allow my car to start.
Today, after locking my car. I went to unlock it and my alarm went off. I couldn't get the doors open..after a little while of struggling with the door I finally got it open. I stuck the key in the ignition to try and start it and nothing happened. Just made a quiet humming noise. So I went and unplugged the battery and the alarm went off again. The car still won't start. I only have the main key, I lost the remote. How do I fix this problem? And no the battery isn't dead or anything else, I checked all the fuses also. It's the anti theft system not allowing it to start or even crank over. I need help!

There are two ways this can be done
First step would be the easiest, if you have an alarm button, you can just press it and everything will work properly.
Second step is also easy espeically since you car is not dead. What you want to do is take out your positive cable ( which will keep the alarm from going off), set your key to on (or all the way to right), put the cable back on, and this should start the car right back up.

Yeah I tried doing both of the things you said, and neither worked. Soon as I hooked the battery back up the alarm went off again. So what else could do I? I only have the key for the car and not the key remote.

Are you sure that your battery is not dead? When you put headlights on, can you the dashboard with the mileage etc? And you said you try both step, does that mean you also have a alarm button for the car?

Can you elaborate on the issue you have?
As far as I am aware, when Wireless Door Locks were only starting to appear, all Lexus models came with a button to disable it, at least in UCF20, such button was located under the dash, near the Diagnostics Port. Here is an Owners Manual for your car, which shows the button I am referring to, see if you have something similar in your car.
Hope this helps and best of luck!

Hello,
It sounds like you have some aftermarket alarm system that is glitching out, preventing the car from running right. Take the steering shaft and lower trim panels off and see of you can spot any aftermarket wiring or boxes that are not supposed to be there, and go from there.
Hope this helps and best of luck!
