2002 Lexus ES300...Pioneer Double Din AVH-8400bh & 2 12" RF Subs & Boyo Back-upCamera
Hey guys,
I installed my pioneer double din avh8400bh, boyo back-up camera, and my 2 12inch RF subs (bridged) w/ 1500wat RF amp & Power Capacitor.
Parts needed for Double Din Installation:
- Double din unit w/ wiring harness
- Lexus Factory Dash piece from lexuspartsnow.com
- Metra TYTO-01
No need for brackets because most if not all double din will have the holes for the stock same
radio brackets
- Metra 95-8202 ( these are the side pieces to fill the gap on each side of the double din unit )
Installation for Double Din:
I got mine done from my audio shop. Charged me $80 to put the double din in. So i suggest getting it installed professionally so you dont ruin anything down the road
Parts needed for Boyo Backup Camera:
- Backup Camera
- Lots of wire
- HU that supports backup camera
Installation
Screw on the backup camera. Its a license plate bracket with a camera on it basically. Run the power wire through on of the screw holes or the license plate light holes and connect them to the reverse lights. Then connect the ground to any ground you can find on the car. For the audio input, I ran it through the passenger side, under the back side, through the side near the door, then across the carpet under the front passenger seat, through the gear **** ****&temperature module and into the HU. My pioneer connection for the camera was in the back of the unit, so i just ran it behind the unit and connected it. Note: On all pioneer double din, you need to set the camera polarity to battery. if you dont, your screen will go black every 5 seconds with the message Caution: Images may appear reversed.
Parts needed for the sub installation:
- Empty Trunk
- Subwoofer(s)
- Amp
- Power Capacitor
Installation:
Once again had my shop do it. It was included with the $80, and they put 4 gauge wiring so I think it was a pretty good deal. They also warrantied it for 5 years.

Thanks dude, I put alot of time researching and alot of blood sweat tears into my Lexus. I know that im 17 and want to make it fasssttt but the luxury is holding me back. So im tryna make it VIP style and save up for another car. most probably an is300 or rsx in which i can make fast and sound like those cars from fast and the furious lol
