Any Idea what this power steering hose/ Vacuum part # is
I am rebuilding my 95 ES300 1MZFE Engine. I switched out the steering pressure hose and it has the below part attached to it. We could not get it off the old hose without damaging it so I need to order another one. But I cant find any reference to it anywhere. Any help is appreciated. I beleive it is a vacuum of some sort. 2 hose come into it and it threads into the steering hose.

It's called an air control valve, I could not find the part number after a quick check. I'll post it if I find it.
After looking at the parts diagram, it looks like that part is ordered as part of the pressure feed hose. Numbers coming up are:
44411-33040
44411-33050
The prices are way out of whack, $300+. Take a look at this diagram, but I would call a Toyota or Lexus dealer and give them your VIN number to get the exact number.

Thank you for the info. The hose it goes into was new so I have to assume they are sold separately. I think I paid around $60 for the hose. Surely this part is only 20 or 30.

Question... What does this part do? And is it really necessary? I am don rebuilding the heads and this is the only part I can't locate yet. I was considering just putting a plug in it for now so I can test the engine. I also noticed the old control valve does not fit the new hose. The hole is slightly smaller. Which means Ill need some sort of bushing.

It allows more air to enter the engine when the power steering pump is loaded, so that the idle does not drop down too much. You can definitely run the engine without it, just make sure to plug the vacuum lines as well as the PS hose. I don't see that part listed separately in the Lexus diagrams, a call to the dealer would be a good idea, or of course you can source one from a salvage yard.

I popped in a M14 bolt and took the 2 nipple feeds from the intake and put a hose on them to each other. The engine started running a lot smoother. I think I may just put caps on them and see if that will work. I'm just trying to get another few years out of this car to give to my 15 year old.
Thanks for the advice.

air assembly
The part number you are inquiring about is 17630-74010. I just ran into the same problem and was told this valve is dealer item only. In checking with both lexus and toyota I was told the valve is only available as part of the high pressure hose ($600). I was fortunate that after taking the valve off the old hose it did fit the new one so you may find you have to get a different manufacturers hose?

Hi, new to this forum! I just bought a 96 ES300 w/75K miles, power steering was leaking, so I replaced the pump and this high pressure hose, however, for the LIFE of me, I can't get this "idle up valve" (part# 17630-74010) off... stripped the bolt trying, UGH!!! Anyway, I'm presuming this part I can't remove still works, but since I can't get it off... dealer wants $200-300 for it! cheapest I found online is eBay for $125. I REALLY don't want to pay that much for this ridiculously tiny part, but don't know if I just plug it up with a M12 or M14 oil pan bolt, if I will regret it (i.e., car stalling when turning the steering wheel or overall driving funny with this hack you mention). Also, if I do that, what do I do with the 2 vacuum lines? Connect them together or cap them off? If cap them off, how do I do that? Are there special caps or clips or ? Any link on where to find the caps to do this properly? Or should I just forget the hack and cough up the $125 for this dumb part and "HOPE" that it fits the aftermarket hose I bought ($40 vs. $600 at stealer... I mean, 'dealer').
