Default power steering hose question (not high pressure)

My power steering hose has a crack which is leaking fluid. I went to toyota dealership and said the whole piece of the hose is one piece and I can't just replace the rubber hose. Is this true?

Picture of the hose cracked.

It looks like hose has two clamps, could be it removable?

Is there any quick and easy way to fix it? Like put duck tape around the hose, so it stop from leaking? LOL..

I have never done this on a SC so take this with a grain of salt. But since it is the return line and not under high pressure, you should be able to just take it off and swap it out. I would just get the new line from your local auto parts store, or online, maybe some new clamps if you stretch those ones taking it off.

You would just cut the new hose to length and re-install.

Good luck buddy!

If the hose has two clamps then yes, it is removable.

Yea that is removable lol. and you could probaly just use some regular hose not pre-formed. Pre-formed would be alot easier to install but more expensive. Unless this hose is a hard plastic/rubber kind that they use for turbo lines and stuff. Then I recommend getting pre-formed.

At least its easy to replace.

Just go to your local auto parts store and ask thim for 1 foot of oil resistant braided hose in that size and swap it out.
