door trouble
ok i own a 93 es300 and yesterday both of my door handles stopped working on the drivers side door at the same time. (yes big pain in the ***.) does anyone have any ideas on how i can get the door open without breaking my door panel in pieces to get to the inside of the door???
Must be a commen problem. My passenger side door (not quite as bad as both) won't open from the outside, only inside. Has not bothered be enough to go get it fixed or even looked at, the passenger can suffer lol.
So I am no help...
So I am no help...
My door would not open either from the outside (Drivers Side).
I'm not good at explaining things so I apologize in advance.
You have to take off your door panel and there is a rod looking thing that needs to be reattached to the inside of the door handle so it can open. My plastic clip had broken off that keeps it inside the whole it needs to be in. I bought the plastic clip from the dealership for $3 and some change. It took me about 10 minutes to take off the door panel 5 minutes to change it and 5 minutes to put back on my door panel (easier the second time around)
I figured I'd post a reply to help someone out because anytime I ask a question nobody answers and I really need all the help I can get so I'm kind of sad about no replies :-(
Hope this helps a little.

That is awesome!! I'm going to go home and try that after work. Thanks so much!
:-) If you lift your door handle up while your panel is off you will see that it's not attached to anything. You should see that rod thing just hanging. I'd go buy the part first...my parts lady knew exactly which piece I needed. She said it was common on our cars.
