Magnaflow muffler
i've been looking around at mufflers/ catback systems for my 1999 es300, and i was wondering if anyone had any experience with the Magnaflow 14832 muffler. I like its look, and the sound as well. Sounds deep and not too raspy. Does anyone have this muffler on their car or know someone who does? How is it?
also, is there a big difference between leaving the resonator in and taking it out? i know taking it out will make it louder, but will it be obnoxiously loud or just a deeper growl? finally, is it possible to easily take out the resonator/ put it back in by yourself?

I had the 14278, which is pretty close. The sounds were pretty good, but the muffler itself resonated much more than I wanted, even with one resonator in line.
SAFETY PUP NOTE: Never choose to go without resonators unless you're driving a pickup truck alone in the country!
Before we removed it, we even added a 2nd resonator in line, just to try and quiet it a bit. No bueno. The resonance was so bad that it was difficult to hear the radio and to hold conversations, and it even made a few interior panels vibrate. As you spoke, you could hear and feel the soundwaves reverberating and conflicting with your voice. It was initially fascinating, but it got old eventually.
Keep in mind that I wasn't doing just a cat-back; I had the entire exhaust system professionally customized from the headers back. I did eventually end up finding a solution that I've been VERY happy with ever since. I've got a worklog with detailed pics here: Exhaust(ing) Renovation.

I removed my resonator, and was afraid that there would be too much rasp.. I was wrong. I have a deep sound and I even get some backfire. It sounds really deep and throaty, very badass.

It's just a piece of metal - you can put it back in whenever you want.
