a quick info on the car. i own 1999 es300 with 90,xxx miles on it.
recently my Trac off light came on. Went to local autozone and oreilly auto parts place they did scan and both scans came up with PO171 code. can you guys please explain to me what that means and what should i do to fix this problem? I did some research on here and looks like everyone who got po171 code they had Check engine light one, but in my case its a trac off light is on.
any help would be greatly appreciated!

i've got a 94 es 330 and my trac light, vsc and abs lights came on. i've had it scanned by dealer who thought it might be the wheel hub. but scan didn't show up anything. he did brakes front (needed new rotors) and rear. lights recently came on again and now i have rattling noise on front drivers side wheel when going of bumpy roads. had a diagnostic done elsewhere and this time the guy says it's the wheel hub and spindle but he's been waiting on the part(s) from dealer for 2 weeks and says job will be about $600plus. called dealership where i got the car and who did original scans. he stills says it isn't wheel hub. so what is it?

P0171 is system too lean.

I'm surprised that places will scan your car, and tell you the trouble code, but not find out and tell you what that code number means.
