rims on a lexus
does anyone have 19's or 20's on their es300 without doing any modifications. is it also possible to put 19's without any modifications?

19's are pushin it without being able to rub. 19s usually will come 8" and wider and 8" rubs for some people. I'd go with an 18" wheel to be honest, no need for 20" or 19" you'll have a terrible ride.

This issue has been addressed many times before. From what I remember 19 can fit on an ES but it does require some modification (shaving fender, pulling, rolling). Other members have complained that the ride was really bad. Would not go above 18, if you want to keep a truly decent ride. Try using the search and advanced search features on this site and you will be able to find alot of information which has been discussed before.

19" is ok. if you get the right tire size, which would probably never go over 225 youll have a similar diameter with 15" on a 205/65/15. but, there is of course less rubber, therefore the harsher ride. but hey, you have to pay to play. for you i will post pics when i get my 19*9 trafficstar wheels. they should be in very shortly. since you started another thread about 19" wheels again, i would assume you havent done any research about offset and wheels related stuff.

yeah, including the one below that was accidentally started, that is either 4th or 5th. i am getting the rtv's. yes a stretch is in need. i dont see how anyone can go without stretch on coilovers and being lowered. on strut/spring combo yes, i believe its possible. now, the only thing i am worried about is the rear. it may or may not clear the fender. i am at about 95% assurance that it will. and i might have to go even lower offset for my plan: max negative camber, and dumped. im taking my car in this monday to have all the fender lips cutoff. and the bodyshop that i plan to go to is going to work out a deal with me, because i am not rich, to have my full Auto Couture kit w/fogs put on and rear end collision repaired.

egh it all depends......i had 20's on my 95 lexus and in retro spec. i think it was over kill, it gave the car that modded/aftermarket look and some bling but made it look ghetto/raised look at the same time. I would stick to 19's on any model 97 and up. the body designs and lines imo dont blend right for anything larger unless you have a body kit. As far as the 95 and below models i wouldnt go anything larger than 18's. My 95 is in the gallery with 20's if it helps anyone with future modding.........
All in all, those size rims will come at much work and much expense to upkeep. For 20's you will have to cut your fender lining completely(1995 and below), the fender wall will cut through the sidewall of your tires(1995 and below), and you'll have roll your fenders(any year).....
for 19's you should be able to get away with just getting a low profile tire if your wheels aren't too wide. or at most roll the fenders(models 97 and up)
my two cents

oh man, another man victim of the 20" rim club. man is that overkill or what. i know that the difference b/w 19-20 is tiny, but like moremgd said about the excessiveness of the 20". people tell me that im crazy spending so much money for some 19" wheels, when i could have spent half the amount for 20" and be a tad bit larger. but i tell them that it is too big, its that little bit of difference that matters.
