Turning off the fog lights really helped the times!
You're correct, R/T doesn't affect your time. Time doesn't start until you move, so you can eat sandwich at the line and still run 12s

this is my isf i have muffler/cat delete the m3 has active ecu tuning ...they were good runs i could not launch the car the first run i was at 1000 rmp last traction waiting for the light to turn green ...the second run i rolled it off the line real soft then punched it no launch what so ever... i have 20 inch wheels and the tires dont hook for noting this was the first time i ran it at palm beach ...i really want to see what she can do with a perfect launch and no traction issues...but i cant complain i love making her go sideways

I was there yesterday for 3 runs, 13.1/13.0/13.1 again on my 19inch cv3s and spare in the trunk. I couldn't break into the 12s at all. Next time I'm slapping the stocks back on and taking out the spare in the back, hopefully it'll make a difference.
Those runs were with a borla exhaust and joez intake/toms filter..

ive raced both new s5s and s4s the F is much faster. I would throw in the rs4/rs5 as competition...

Looks like you fell asleep at the line on that first run, good second run with much better reaction time and you were able to hook. These two cars are very close indeed and in many situation it becomes drivers race. The race I would like to see is M3 with typical tune, test pipe and exhaust vs F with headers, full exhaust no cats and intake.
With a proper launch control sequence (3,500rpm LC) instead of just flooring it in M-dynamic mode which drops the clutch at 3,500rpm and engages the traction control system to suppress wheelspin,my 60ft had dropped to 1.8, but LC only works after "X" amount of miles driven, typically not enough time at a drag-strip unless you never shut off the car in-between runs. My best trap IIRC as 116.xxmph, and my best 1/4mile was 11.9x, which was never repeated again with the clostest at 12.0x. Of note, the M3 gains 26.5x mph in the last half of the 1/4mile, most cars gain 22-24mph...
