I wonder why your 60' are so bad. Did you just mash the gas with traction control on or did you try to play with the throttle a little with no traction control on?

I am a rookie when it comes to the drag strip. Traction Control was never on. I had it in manual mode all 8 times. the funny thing is is the first 3 times are in the left lane and the next 3 were in the right lane. Then on runs 7 and 8 I alternated. Can somebody with some drag experience give me some pointers so I can drop my 60' times, or any pointers in general. I want to drop into the 12 sec range. I am going back to the strip this Thursday.

Try leaving in Man Mode. Left foot on the Brake and Right on the gas. Rev the car up to about 1000-1500. This should help a bit with the gap between your reaction and the intial punch on the gas. You might need to do a little burnout also. Just practice, its going to go 12s. It pretty much all in your 60ft.

Thanks for the advice. I figured my 60' times were the cause of of me not being able to get into the 12 sec range. The 12.89 that was ran had a 1.90 60' time. That tenth of a sec would put me at 12.93. So this week I will rev the car up to around 1500 and make sure i warm the tires up. I should be able to get 6 runs in. So I will post on Friday after my runs on Thursday night.

When you begin stagging (2nd set of small yellow lights), is when you will hold the brake and gas pedal to achieve launching at 1,500 rpms..

Have you ever driven a manual??

With the Automatic and stagging under a load...

....Knowing how to control your 2 feet properly, is where I was going with that..
