Barely lost to the corvette which I believe is a c6 because of the styling / lights .. 400 hp corvette vs 306 is350 .. pretty good considering IS350 is a luxury vehicle with better creature comforts .... 13.27 for the vette and 13.99 for the IS350 .. closer then I wouldve expected

 

The Vette dude probably just doesn't know how to drive.

 

isn't 13.99 on the slow end for the 350? faster times come in around 13.3-13.4, no? yah and that is a slow time for the vette as well.

 

yea... also it's really really cold in florida during the summer time

 

well I also wonder if the vette was an automatic ? and I heard somepeople have been in the 12's for is350's around this forum .

stock IS350 will do around 13.6. 13.3-13.4 are the guys who are modded.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't consider 13.27 vs 13.99 "bearly lost." That's a pretty big difference IMO.

 

well 306hp and 400hp is a pretty big difference too IMO :P

 

Last I checked, most Vettes were sold as auto, because that's the market....not sure why. If I had a cheap rocket with lots of power, you better bet I would be slamming the stick shift all day long.

 

I just saw the vid...yeah the vette definitely had a poor launch and also do you realize how much HP/TQ it takes to shave another .7 seconds of your 1/4 mile time? Yeah, about 100HP.lol Just my 2 cents...

this thread is comparing apples and oranges. both cars are fast in the respective vehicle classes. Stock vs. stock: I'll definitely put my money on the Vette in a drag race scenario and win 54 times out of 55.
