many people here who have taken their car to the drag have reported real world times between 13.3-13.7

then are those who cant smash the pedal properly who are getting 13.9-14.1 (odd, seeing as how it is an auto)

There's a lot more to your times than smashing the throttle. Just to name a few...

Ambient temps
Engine temps
Amount and type of gas in the tank
Driver weight
How well the track hooks
Tire pressure

What’s good about the IS350 with an Auto is that it should pull a 13.7 almost every single run bt almost any driver. Unlike my old Sti that you would be lucky to hit a 13.3 if all things are working for you... good launch... proper shifting, no bog of the turbo because of itall. Same thing with my old S2000... you had to be real damn lucky to hit a low 14. When I dragged it, I could get a low 14 some times but there would be a lot of high 14's in there for various reasons.

You're right about that! My worst run (last weekend, yes it was cool out) was a 13.69. Because it's an auto, it's easier to get consistent results. Of my 12 runs I believe 9 were between 13.36-13.59.

Well not really, if someone weighs 120lb and someone else weighs 220lb, there is a big enough margin there to see a difference.

Yeah i can say that to STI are very difficult to lunch good, always when my friends would try to be stupid in my STI they would burn my clutch a little or the car would die on them and I would charge them couple hundred for the clutch. My best was 13.306 in my STI I will see what I will do in IS when I receive it finally should be here beginning of June

what about the gear shifts in the IS350? does respond well as you shift up? i heard that you should release your foot from the gas pedal, shift up, and then step on it again. is that true?
