Wow I'm really not too surprised but just sad from what could of been from the CT. I literally just traded mine back in early only this past week from lease because I no longer needed a second vehicle. I loved tons of things about the CT I would get compliments all the time, it's a nice small sporty looking hatchback that happens to be a Lexus (Toyota) hybrid. As everyone always talks about a little bump in power 2.0 turbo and gripier tires the CT would be irresistible honestly. I also own a new model IS and this is where the CT falls off which is Lexus quality.. Where it is nice and all.. The fit and finish isn't soft to the touch, it's quite crammed because of the batteries and has alot of the 00's lexus's inside and outside of the past. I truly know and think there is a market for at least the fan boys for a new hyped up gen of a Lexus hatchback again. I'll sure miss alot about mine, honestly mostly the looks it stood out in that star fire pearl. R. I. P. LEXUS CT.

The 0-60 on those cars is slower than my razor scooter so I am not too surprised. And backseat is useless for adults. The car as a whole should have never been branded a Lexus. Should have been under the Scion or Toyota brand from the get go.

Lexus could have brought the 2CT with lots of improvements while expanding the CT line to include the CT 200h/300h/200t and probably be a hit. I would have like to see the 2CT grow an inch in length and width, cupholders in the back seat and of course more power and refinement.

When the 1ES, 1GS and 1IS came out all needed some improvements as well.

Hatchbacks just don't sell well in the US. Audi even dropped their A3 and S3 Sportbacks in favor of sedans, which sell better. MB won't bring their A class here either, or BMW with their hatchbacks (1 series). Beyond the power issue, I think that's the CT's biggest problem (according to the market, not me. I love hatchbacks).

Since the CT lives on in Europe and other markets, we may see non-hybrid versions, and maybe with true Lexus interiors and levels of refinement.

If the UX looks anything like the concept, it might make a good replacement for the CT, at least here in the US.
