2016 Headlight & Foglight
Hey everyone!
Just recently traded in my 2014 IS for the 2016 CT!
I need to change to the headlights and fog lights to LEDs, but I'm getting mixed messages -- some people say they're both H11 while I've seen others say one is H11 and the other is H16...
Can anyone please confirm! Thanks!

Pole Position
I don't know about 2016 CT200h. But on my 2013 CT200h both the low beam and fog lights are al H11. I ordered LED lights (Cree 2nd gen) about a couple of years ago (around $69 for a pair X 2) and put them in. They are excellent. I did not change out the high beams (I figure if for some reason the new LED's malfunctioned, I still have the low beam/fog lights.
The only thing is that the LED lights are pure white (I think they were 6800K) and the DRL from Lexus factory looked "yellow" compared to my newly installed LED lights.
The only way to find out which type bulb is to take it out. To access the fog lights you will need to do it from the front wheel liners by removing out the tabs and slowly and carefully peel back the wheel liner (I would wear some long sleeve shirt or just tape some towels to your forearm so you don't get cut). The low beam lights are accessible from the engine bay area.
Good luck....

My 2015 fog's are H16. Discovered this when I moved my CT's fogs over to my Prius. My Prius had a damaged Fog light -- figured I would spend the money on better fogs for the CT and switch them to the Prius.
What I discovered. The fogs on my Prius are glass and take a H11 bulb (Most Prius don't come with fogs -- mine is the top model) -- when I removed the CT's fog lights I discovered them to be all plastic and not as deep. They require the smaller and not as bright H16's
The CT's fog lights are worthless. The Prius with the better fogs and brighter bulb are also basically worthless. My Prius has the LED factory headlights -- That could be why the Fogs don't make much difference.
From all accounts the CT's all plastic fog lamp is now the one Toyota is using -- they put them in many vehicles.

That's strange. I also have a 2015, and I just switched out both my low beams and fogs. Both are H11's.

H15 -- Is that not two filaments ???
Chrispies: Does you fog light have a plastic lens? I was surprised at the quality difference between the CT's and Prius (Prius better). The H16 bulbs would go into the new Fogs for the CT - The reverse was not the case. I could not get the H11 to turn in -- that's how I discovered something was up.
Do you think someone could have modified the CT's housing -- it would be easy to file the housing a bit and get the bulb to go in.

Yes, the fog lights have a plastic lens. A Google search shows a few people commenting about older H16 are different compared to new H16.

I checked our fitment guide, it shows H11 for the low beam and H16 for the fogs on the 2016 CT200h. The H16 fitment is a newer fitment not related to the older one. It is a lower wattage bulb, rated at 19W. We have XenonDepot H16 LED Foglight kits and XenonDepot H11 LED Headlight kits that would work on your vehicle.

H16 and H11 bulbs pretty much share the same IEC base, the main difference is that h16 bulbs are low-wattage bulbs.
Take a look at our 2016 CT200 Lamp Replacement guide for more info.

Personally I wouldn't recommend jamming some crud lighting system into your headlights simply because it physically fits or looks cool.
Here's some info I made for the BMW community. The same things apply to all cars:

Older thread but I'm glad I didn't buy h11 fog light bulbs because on my 2016 the fog lights in h16.
In h11 bulb did not physically fit in the connector because the topmost post a slightly off-center compared to the h16 bulb... So if you're using LEDs more than likely it's so they can accommodate more fitment guides but they're clearly is a difference between the osram bulb that I have both the h11 and h16 You can physically see a difference between the tabs.
I was planning on taking the h11 yellow pia bulbs from my Solara and putting them in the CT now I'm just going to go and buy the CT fog lights and swap out the entire housing.
See attached pictures. H16 first, then h11. Side by side.
