CHECK HYBRID SYSTEM message
So my CT wont start. It says "CHECK HYBRID SYSTEM" on the instrument panel. It switches to neutral but not into gear. The battery is fully charged. Put a Prolong hybrid battery charger on it and it charges all the way to 239v (235v is considered full).
OBD2 scanner is picking up no codes.
12v battery is new and full. Car has less that 75k miles on it. It did sit undriven for almost 2 years, which is why I put the Prolong charger on it and charged it. What else can I check to see if I can get it running? Will I have to take this to a dealer to figure out what the problem is?

You may have depleted the hybrid battery low enough that it won't start. If the system detects too low of a voltage from the hybrid battery to start the car via the starter motor, it won't start and will give that message. I'm actually in this situation now.
All I've discovered so far is that you either replace the hybrid battery or take it out and charge it with a grid charger. My mechanic is exploring that second option as we speak.

There's tons of things. If you don't have an enhanced code reader (something like a 150$ + Autel with the lexus/toyota package), you may not be able to access all of the manufacturer specific codes.
