Default Urgent value help needed

Hi everyone!

My 2011 CT 200h has a dead motor, and I'll planning to sell it to a local mechanic so he can part it off for a profit of his own. My questions is how much would you hope to make from a vehicle like this that has:
195k miles, failed motor, ok hybrid battery, brakes and shocks are almost in the danger zone, and there's an oil leak too. The aestetics are excellent condition, both inside and out. Also it has the premium sound system, custom tint, and a $700 "Blinder" laser jammer installed that I really don't want to have to uninstall, as I cut into the plastic molding both in the front and back to install it.. I know its worth substantially more than $1000, because as I see it, the 28 individual battery sells can be sold on eBay for about $40 a piece, so that's how the buyer can recoup his purchase and towing fees. If you were selling this, how much would you hope to get? I've already had lots of interest at $500-$1000 small talk, but I'm wondering if I should ask for $2000 (or more?) when actually negotiating with interested buyers., Thanks so much!

Also, if it helps, the vehicle is in Austin, Texas. Thanks!

I had an oil leak that apparently got pretty bad pretty fast, so I'm guessing the engine ran out of oil and the motor destroyed itself.

I'd give you $1000 for that for sure. I would think it's worth around $2000 at least. You never know who's looking. If you are not in a hurry just offer it up for $2500+ and keep lowering it. It probably won't be worth that much to your mechanic if he's really parting it out since that would require a lot of work (think about 40 seperate sales on ebay). I would think his best bet would be an engine swap. Any mechanic asking buy a car you brought in is almost certainly lowballing you since they want to maximize profits, but that might be the only type of person looking for a busted ct200h right now.
