Was checking out more to see if I could figure it out (I haven't). I did notice that when I turn on the headlights, the DRLs stay lit at full brightness instead of dimming like they usually do. Any suggestions?
So, turns out it is a known problem with the CT. Took it in to my dealer on Friday, and it is completely covered under warranty. It's the ZL1 service and was recently announced. Involves replacing the wire harness, so not an easy or quick fix. Should be ready by Wednesday, so in the meantime I have a nice IS200t...

Had the same issue here (low beam halogen burned out). Got a consumer service campaign letter in mail the day before I noticed it (what luck!). Car is in shop today getting repaired at no cost. I was told that the ECU sends excessive voltage to the lights when on low beam, burning them out. The fix is a new wire harness that regulates the voltage(?) and they are replacing both headlight bulbs as well. My CT is 6 years old with 142k miles and this is a free fix...not a bad deal!
I have a 2013 CT 200H and I replaced the bulbs on my lowbeams 6 months ago and one of them just burnt out today. I'm wondering if I may have the same issue or if I just purchased poor quality bulbs when replacing.
This is not a recall or a TSB. It is a "Customer Support Program Notification - ZLI" According to the letter I got, it applies to the halogen headlamps on "certain 2011-2013 model year CT 200h and certain 2010-1012 model year HS 250h vehicles. If the condition is verified, the dealer will install voltage adjustment wire harnesses and replace both halogen low beam headlamp bulbs..." It's about a 3-hour job.
If you've already paid for low beam bulb replacement, it says you can be reimbursed for that as well as get the wiring harness repairs.
So both of my low beam headlights are out. The DRLs and high beams work fine. Checked the fuses and all are fine. Bulbs work as well. Any ideas?
both of my low beam lights went out. one then a few weeks later the other. Something was fishy bc I had changed both lights when I bought it used from a private seller from Craig’s list about 6 months prior. Took it to vavoline to get them replaced but they immediately told me it was electrical and to take it to the dealer. I figured it would cost an arm an a leg. I went to Lexus and played it dumb. And just made an appointment for them to change the 2 bulbs.
They knew what was wrong Immediately was wrong and told me they would fix it free of charge. They also told me about another potential problem and offered to fix that and a free inspection. They gave me a free rental car (2018 nx) to my surprise until the problem is fixed. My appointment was at 430. I left at 505pm see attached. Go to a lexis dealership. They will fix it.
