I'm looking for some aftermarket rotors for the CT (yes it's all looks, don't judge), but it seems like everywhere I look, there are pairs for either the front or rear, not a full set. That leads me to think...are the front and rear rotors the same size and fit?

 

No. The fronts and rears are different sizes. That is how brakes are on almost every car. Note that cross drilled and slotted rotors will not last as long and are more prone to cracking and warping. The also make more noise when the pads travel over the holes.

What is wrong with your rotors? Toyota rotors are very durable and rarely warp. Also due to the regenerative braking, the brake pads on the CT (and other hybrids) last upwards of 70 to 100,000 miles.

 

I believe he's implying that he wants rotors for his CT that look good aesthetically, but wants all 4 to match.

I never said I wanted drilled rotors. Even if I do, they last a while before starting to warp or crack, provided quality is part of the equation, which unfortunately isn't part of it for most.

Either way, I was looking for slotted/dimpled rotors, but yeah very strange...I only found a set for the front, but not a set for the rear.

 

Frozen Rotor has front and rear slotted sets for the CT. They rear comes in B-type and E-type. Looks like the difference is size?

They're expensive, but they're good cryo rotors.

 

I had frozen rotors on the front of my old 1995 Explorer. They lasted over 70,000 miles until one was torn up by a frozen caliper. The vehicle was really old by then so I got some Advance Auto rotors.

 

Is it possible to increase the size of your rotor without changing the whole brake setup? I have been considering a big brake package made for the prius by Ksport, however it costs over $1600 just for the front. If it would be possible the just make the rotor larger, that would probably be a much cheaper alternative.
