Default Lexus Illuminated Door Sills?

Hey Guys,

Been thinking about upgrading my car with a set of these:

LEXUS CT200H 2011-2013 ILLUMINATED DOOR SILL

Anyone have them? Did you install them yourself? How easy or hard was it to install them? Thinking about jumping on them since they seem to be on sale right now but dont want more parts collecting dust!

Thanks,

Illuminated door sills came with my car. They do look nice. The price on the sticker is $299, so the sale price is pretty good.

I recently bought them and installed them myself. The whole thing took maybe half and hour. There's a youtube video in this thread that show you step by step in detail how to change them yourself and is very helpful. The illuminated door sills completes the CT 200h. I'm very happy with it!

I'm thinking of getting the illuminated door sills myself. They do look very cool at night.

Nice! Thanks for the feedback guys. Based on what Traxus has said it seems like the install is pretty straight forward. Think I might jump on this sale!

Thanks again guys!

Illuminated door sills came on my car as a port option. They look great at night, but the light is pretty much drowned out during the day.

I recently installed them. There are several threads on the CT200h forum and a youtube video that shows how to do it. It wasn't too hard but you do have to work under the dash which is a pain just from a logistics point-of-view. One suggestion that I can give is to toss out the included "t-taps" and either solder the connection or go with some other connection method. T-Taps are known for being unreliable in the long-term. I'm surprised that Lexus would include them on an OEM part. I used Posi-taps with mine and it make the connection process really easy.

As far as illumination you are correct. The rear driver and rear passenger door sills aren't illuminated.

The Lexus Illuminated Door Sills are a great mod for the interior. Well worth the money IMHO.

Looks great at night when you enter your car.

Mine came with them but I added 2stripe of Blue LED's under the dash one on the driver side and one under the passenger side tapped into the lights that were already their, they look cool at night and match the door perfect!
