Courier CT hits 800,000 miles
As far as future plans, right now I'm still holding firm to my plan to either let Lexus or Toyota buy the car from me if they ever contact me, or I will just keep it as a backup car because it's really a great car.
As far as replacements, I'm still looking at the hybrid Highlander, but now I'm looking at the new Grand Highlander hybrid because for whatever reason, Toyota seems to show better mileage on that car than the regular Highlander, which makes no sense on the face of it because you would think that the bigger crossover is heavier, but maybe it's not as heavy? Maybe it's even lighter? I didn't look. Maybe it's more aerodynamic?
I also got an Uber today from a driver who drove the new Kia Niro, and that car is super nice inside, and gets over 50 mpg, so now I'm considering that as well (not a big fan of the Sorrento, their version of the Highlander, or the RAV4 that much).
As far as issues, the only thing that's happened since my last update is that my hybrid system failed again in the last few days. My car is at the shop now and we discovered that the problem is actually the new hybrid battery that I got from Greentec. Apparently a bank of batteries inside is dead, but since the battery comes with a 4-year unlimited mile warranty, they are replacing it under warranty. The only problem is that they have to build it first and ship it out from some state out there like Montana or something, over to me in Texas, so I will just take the car back and drive it as a regular gas car until the battery arrives.
I'll make sure to update you guys here once that happens. And just as a note, this replacement hybrid battery is actually a new battery not a reconditioned one.

Had a few issues since. I'll go back and check my logs and recall as much as I can for my next update. I work so much now that I'm losing track here and there.
Currently at 894k miles and still running.

Make sure you include a lot of photos with your update! It would be nice to see how the exterior, interior, etc is wearing after 1m miles. paint too, rock chips etc. and a recap, batteries, head replacements, motor replacements (if any).
Maybe a total cost per mile, all replacements factored in, gas, oil changes etc. that would be neat.

What is the key to taking care of this model?! What would you recommend someone do to ensure the longevity of this car?
