About 2 months ago I came across a Japanese company that specialized in customizing start button for most of the JDM vehicles, so I placed an order for my 2014 Lexus IS and was hoping the get some great result out of it. Although it is not a cheap part to purchase, I am fully satisfied with every penny spent on it. Anyways, I am hosting a group buy on this product for the Lexus community. Are you sure this write-up is accurate for what is being sold here? It looks to me like just the plastic piece that you press to start the car and not the entire button assembly is being offered.
Very interested - how exactly does this get installed?
I will have a DIY thread up with pictures and instructions once we have the GB done. You do have to follow this thread https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...ml#post9651199 to remove the whole unit first. It's not a hard task to replace the start button cover, but have to be very careful as you do not want to break any plastic clips
So since this is just the plastic piece, how will this look in a 2gen IS (ISF?) with the green LED back-lighting? I like the idea, I just think it might look weird having a big green F logo lit up.
So its about $120 for a small piece of plastic? I like the look and the idea, but arent complete trd buttons similarly priced? Might have to think about this some more now..

I personally have been holding out for a nice red button that was not TRD. I mean yes TRD did help develop the car but they're also largely associated with producing absurd bodykits on Camrys LOL
