Lexion Carplay & Android Auto Display for all Lexus models
#31
thanks for the opinion, jazzrock
but actually in reality it's pretty cheap,
things you see around $500 on aliexpress are video interface only,
but with display and interface in bundle usually costs at least $700~$1200 with worse quality than ours.
with everything into consideration, our product has a very competitive price for its quality.
yours truly.

Is it easy to update firmware if there’s a new iOS release for CarPlay? Is CarPlay system also part of external box I won’t need a dongle right? Sometime wireless CarPlay can be glitchy and laggy not sure same issue are in your system. Audio coming out from Android notifications will be routed to cars speakers? the competitor products audio comes from screen there is a speaker which I don’t like. I’d rather hear all audio from car speakers.
you don't need any dongle,
wireless is good, but not perfect technology, so thru tunnel or extremly bad weather, it can be laggy, it's not display, it's just wireless' technology you know,
but i can guarantee you it's much more stable in terms of it's connectivity than dongle type of wireless carplay or android auto.
and even if our product's wirelessly connected, its smoothness of overall system and control is exactly alike when it's wired.
audio from android notifications will be routed to cars speakers via AUX perfectly,
our display has no speaker, it means every sound will happen thru your car speaker,

but it only works for RC between 2015 and 2018,
please let me know exactly what year and what month your car was manufactured, thanks

Does Lexion Android screen work on cars with Mark Levinson Audio system? I asked because most of these aftermarket CarPlay standalone boxes, not screen Android units, don’t work with joystick and ML audio. Not sure if your technicians have tested it with all cars. Sometime a lot of small companies are excited to sell these ASAP without really testing all the cars just asking since this is expensive item.

I have purchased two units from lexion that hopefully will be arriving in the next 14 days or so! one going into a 2013 and the other into a 2016.
from all my research and in speaking with lexion directly this seems to be the best system on the market, i asked if they could make a video showing the actual user experience so I have put the link to this below.
key points from video :
1 - substantially faster boot up from current systems available (I time it at 13/14 seconds quicker)
2 - menu seems to be simplifies, less bloatware etc.
3 - reverse camera in correct ratio (for small screen 13-16 owners)
4 - oem menu appears to be the same also (for small screen 13-16 owners)
5 - siri etc seems to work perfectly.
6 - carplay built in, dont need an additional dongle etc- appears to have wired and wireless also.
will update this with my own videos after install!

Looking forward to reading your feedback and video, but I do see OEM menu aspect ratio isn't quite right in this video for IS.

lexion guys, can you confirm if the video above will be the lexus/oem home screen ratio for the IS units? hope so!
IF not, can this be added? e.g. side image of the vehicle forces a correct ratio it seems.
perfect ratio..

yes, due to covid-19 it's a lttile bit delayed, but no worry,
it's supposed to arrive at your door in 14 days total( that's usually how long it took)
please keep us updated how your 2 lexion displays go,
have a great day
