Anybody with a 2006 IS and GS, looks like your brakes are being recalled.

the problem is with a seal in the master brake cylinder....AND only if you use non-toyota brand brake fluid.

I got an '06 IS. I need to do my pedal recall and reflash the ecu, valve springs and now I'm just going to wait for my brake recall. I think they also mention fuel pump.

Why don't you ask to upgrade to the F-Sport brakes and pay the difference.

Nah, I don't have to upgrade my brakes. I have an IS350. I mean, I would love to but that's a lot of money for brakes. I rather buy new wheels for the price. The recall is only related to the master cylinder. Even if the recall includes the calipers, they only do the recall itself otherwise the warranty department will not honor their claim.

By the way, did you install your steering wheel?

not a service bulletin, but the recalls.

1. Pedal interference and ECU reflash. '06-'10
2. Rack and Pinion and lubing the rear calipers.
3. Valve springs.

Recalls are certain cars and if your car is not within the VIN range then your car is fine.

where can i find that information to see if my vin is affected ?

You should receive letters from Lexus stating that your car has a recall.
