Unhappy Hit a pole - Need some feedback please..

Alright, so I kind of turned in to a pole after a Cubs game. The back drivers side wheel area is messed up and the back door has some pretty good scratches. Anyone know any good shops around the north side of chicago/suburbs and/or has any knowledge to gauge how bad the damage is. Any reply would be grateful, Thanks!

Your damage is going to be very expensive, even if you do go through insurance. That fender piece is one piece all the way up to the roof line.
Then you have to blend the paint into the roof, trunk, bumper, door and with the back door being repainted, the driver door will have to be blended too.

I'd bite it and go through insurance to get it done right.

Well, I'm definitely not going through insurance, that isn't an option. My friends said that the rear part can be popped out and the piece that fell off is plastic, I on the other hand thought the whole side panel would have to be replaced.. I guess I'll have to go around and get estimates and see what the best option is.

p.s. I'm pretty sure State Farm will drop me if I go through them..

state farm won't drop you....unless you're a serial pole spanker wait that didn't sound right, anyway, state farm pays up and i actually got some work done at bodywerks and it only cost me my $500 dollar deductible. Go Cubbies!!!

I highly recommend Metro Auto Body Group on Archer Ave and Ashland Ave. 733-376-5800. Ask to speak to Charlie Khong.

I'd get an estimate and see how it is then go from there and consider insurance or not.

I went to Body Werks and was actually quoted more than 1K+ less than a national collision repair chain shop, which starts with a G and ends with an R. Now I have to see what kind of estimates my parent's can find through their friends. Thanks for all the help and input, I appreciate it.

Don't go to Body Werks in Skokie. That shop messed up a lot of cars. They don't really care about doing small jobs and even more when dealing with insurance. I went there to fix a bumper. Not only did they fixed it badly they also ripped the license plate lights out.
