your quarter panel can be repaired without being replaced and the door skin can be saved too. as far as blending, that's ridiculous to say that the trunk, bumper and entire quarter panel up to the roofline needs to be painted.

go get an estimate from lakeside in evanston on central. dont believe everything you're told here, leave it to the professionals to guage how much the damage will cost to repair.

I've gotten 5 estimates so far. Right now I think I will be going to Ray's Auto Shop in Skokie/Evanston. My friend referred it to me, he had his subaru's bumper repaired there, and says subaru recommends that place. they also have a competitive estimate compared to the others. and the guys working there seemed more personable than the other shops imo.

so far i think from what ive gathered from the estimates, is that everything can be repaired, but the bottom door panel *should be replaced* bc the door chrome liner is somewhat bent and cannot be repaired/straightened. and to get that chrome piece you have to order the entire bottom panel which is around $300.. well it can be repaired, but it wont be 100% flush. 300 is a lot just to get that liner flush..
