Thought this was interesting:

It stated that the sixth-gen small block will "strengthen our industry-leading lineup of full-size pickups and SUVs."
Tells me this is the last ICE Corvette.

Hope Toyota is paying attention. Those downsized engines are not inspiring nor are they aspirational. Way to go GM

GM has applications for this engine, Toyota really doesn't.

Toyota could build a new V8 engine for the LC, LX, Tundra and Sequoia and Land Cruiser and 4Runner,…and GX. It is shameful that Toyota has abandoned these models with no new V8s.

Those vehicles are all pretty low volume. GM sells millions of trucks that will use this V8

Worldwide Toyota sells just as many trucks and SUVs. The 4.7 and 5.7 was available in many countries. So too was the 4.6 in their SUVs and trucks. Toyota still makes there 4.5 V8 turbo diesel

Well, you are in Canada so you can use the PTO for a front mounted snow plow or maybe a dump bed too if ya wanna go crazy fun. lol

So from what OP is saying is we have a proper small block V8 offered for SUV's and I was real happy to see they are still making the big blocks and diesels for the heavier duty trucks.
That's dam good news for Chevy and they will sell.

You yourself have told us, though, that you usually don't drive that way.

I bet a lot of people will ***** about this (not us). I love it.

There will also be another gen V8 after this one.

GM will be the last to axe the V8 engine, if they ever do at all.

I have a very good friend who has been trying to convince me to pick up a used Escalade.
He over 200k on his and said the best vehicle he has ever owned.

Don't remember the engine he said it has but it may be a big block and has been dead solid reliable.

I’d love one but the reliability is iffy. But yes the bones and power train of that truck are rock solid. Just a lot of $100k GM bull—- stuff to go wrong.
