Hehe!! As much as I like Angelslex tint job it wont fly down here either. I would get pulled everytime I drive. Even at the inspection stations, they wont touch your car with a tinted windshield

I see that you live in NY. I dont think we are allowed to tint our windshield as well. You never get pulled over? NY cops are the worst...

Nice, angelslex, loving the blue! I'm jealous. That window tint won't fly in CA tho... I'm pretty sure the statute only allows windows to be tinted that are behind the driver's head... that's part of the reason why I'm waffling... anyone know for sure?

They are seriously **** here ... you'll get a kick out of this, it's actually off the CHP website...

"Remember - FTBC (failure to be cool) is not a crime!"

I think I'm going to put it on my sig. LOL.

A tint is great and gives you a sense of privacy!!

I am in Cali and it is illegal. Cops usually don't pull over luxury cars... (knock on wood).

heres a pic of my titanium tint.

front window tint you need to have 70% light pass through, the rear windows are free for whatever, but front windhield is a big no no. Then again theres always loop holes so you can drive with limo tint all around (though not windshield) legally.

Then my friend has bad luck... she's been ticketed twice for the tint on her Benz!

I'll have to debate with myself whether it is worth risking the cost of the ticket... then again, being a woman, I can get away with, "You're kidding, officer! I had NO idea! The guy at the tinting place said it was perfectly legal."

Yeah, I'm not above using my gender when necessary... say what you will... I've never gotten a speeding ticket and it isn't because I always drive the speed limit.

P.S. LexAristo, you live in Canyon Crest? Your neighborhood looks familiar.

tint is tint.. they look the same on any car.
i was thinking about tint.. but i dont like the cheap sticker tint crap they have at the shop.. which cost 120 bucks for 5 windows..
i rather spend alittle more for spray on tint..
so when i crash, i dont want chunks of glass flying in my face..

Hey Lettuce where you at in WA? If you're near Seattle or on the eastside I work in a tint shop in Kirkland where the guy who runs it has been tinting for 20 years. PM or reply if you're interested, and I can get you in on the "friend rate" that I can get for people I bring in.

Have you guys heard about "V-KooL" tint. It is not a regular tint and It's not too dark, you still can see from the outside, but it doesn't absorb the heat like a regular tint. Lots of commercial building have been using this product for years.

I haven't heard about a loophole saying you can have limo tint on all windows (except windshield) in CA...but you can buy insurance from the tint shops in CA, so if you get a ticket, they will take it off for the inspection and replace it after for $20 bucks.

All I know is that you can legally have whatever you want for the rear 3 windows, and 85-95% light pass through for the front...I seriously doubt the limo tint would fly...try telling a motorcycle cop that it is legal as he begins to peel the tint off your window...hahahaha...LOL...and writes you a ticket for dictating to HIM about the law!

I think the general rule of thumb is to be conservative on the front two...just enough to blend in the rears.
