One thing I'm a bit sad...Tesla has absolutely destroyed the car market, completely devastating the value of my Polestar. By the end of my lease, the residual value will be around $28K...so no way I'll be buying it out. I'll probably be replacing it with a Model 3 Long Range, or maybe even a slightly used Model S....
Took the Polestar out today to run some errands, and it's for sure 100 percent the funnest of all my cars. Through software updates, they have pretty much fixed the majority of issues/bugs and minor annoyances. I no longer feel like I'm an early adopter, it's a fully ready for primetime vehicle. Only big complaints are related to the compromises they had to make building it on an a shared ICE platform. Charging infrastructure is still a complaint, but EA seems to be upgrading all their older chargers to newer generation ones.
Right now Polestar has a pretty awesome lease offer of $399 a month with $5K down with an $8500 Clean Vehicle Credit. They have made some vast improvements, the MY2024 dual motor is now 421 hp (vs 408 hp for the MY2021 through 2023) and range has been increased to 320 miles vs 250 for mine. For the Performance pack they have lowered the power to 455 hp from 479 hp (torque is about the same), but 0 to 60 is the same. Charging has been optimized to 28 minutes from 40 minutes. I also like it's much sleeker look:
So I just may lease another Polestar when my current Polestar lease is up in Jan 2025!
I was at a local mall today and they had a demo P3 on display next to a P2 with the exposed dampers in the frunk and yellow seatbelts. The interior upgrades are really nice in the 3 but the seats were a bit too firm for me. My only real complaint was how low you have to bend down to open the trunk.

Both the P2 and P3 have kick sensor, so you actually don't have to bend down
Just a little clarification.....The 320 mile range is for the single motor variant (up from 270, FWD). The dual motor increased to 276 miles (up from 249).

The kick sensor works flawlessly every time. My wife's Audi Q 5 Sportback, not so much.
The funny thing about the kick sensor... you literally just kick. When I first got it installed, I would wave my foot under and it wouldn't open right away. Than someone on the Polestar forum told me to just kick straight, and wouldn't you know it . Works every time
Same here! Despite its flaws, I love that car. It's got lots of spirit. I call it my Silent Killer . I lost count on how many fast cars I embarrassed with it
OK, got to test drive the 2024 Polestar with Pilot Pack. First of all, I want to thank Jaron, who brought the car here for me to test drive from SoCal! There is not been many changes except upgraded hardware (screen, motors and battery pack). Also, the front grill has changed, with Polestar adding a bumper camera:
I don't really need to get into too many details, but driving the car, I did notice better tuning of the suspension, and quieter motors. Polestar says that they gave the car a more RWD bias (this is the dual motor), but I wasn't able to test that.
Basically other than aesthetics changes, the cabin of the car hasn't really changed. It drove pretty much the same as my current Polestar, just quieter. So not much to report other than it now gets better range, rides quieter and smoother. It's still a really great looking car, IMO. Some more pics:
