Borrows cues from the excellent Escala Concept

 

It does look like an Impala in profile...

 

Gotta give them props for staying true to the original concept while still achieving things like crash standards.

 

Chinese crash standards are a bit more lax than what we have in Europe or the USA. But if I'm being honest, this looks more like a refresh of the CT6 than a straight up new generation. Which would make sense if it was made solely for the Chinese market.

 

Overdone front, generic sedan greenhouse, and retro Fleetwood Brougham rear taillights. Interesting car with a cool rear. But the front and side leave me cold.

 

I think it looks great, drop and LT1 into it and I'm in.
