I did read somewhere that the inline 6 will come in different power outputs for the CX-70 and CX-90, so I'm hoping for at least 350hp. 400+ would be nice.
This makes more sense. I also suspect that we're doing Internet road testing here. I want to know whether the engine delivers the subjective pleasures inline sixes are famous for: smoothness, quietness and easy revving. You can have a turbo Four that delivers plenty of power and torque, yet still doesn't feel worthy of an upscale car (cough *BMW* cough).
Where does the press release confirm that it is coming to the USA? With the Australian power ratings? Or is that an assumption?
Moving goalposts again lol. The power numbers were confirmed in the Australian press release. It's not "incorrect" no matter how much you want to pretend that it is.
That engine coming to the U.S. was confirmed by a spokesperson in the OP article. But that's a different subject.
A spokesperson for Mazda Australia confirmed the 3.3-litre turbo confirmed as part of today’s CX-60 announcement won’t be offered in the CX-60’s other core markets, but will make its way to North America – however, North America won’t be getting the CX-60, at least as far as we know.
I just wanted to know where it is confirmed the engine in the article. With the power ratings are indeed coming to the US. Sounds like nobody knows what is coming to the US.

l.
Some of the engines in the Australian Mazdas are not offered in the US. The Mazda 3 has a 2.0 non turbo mild hybrid

they are Diesel engines. So high torque but low power.
Nope, petrol:
Alternatively, a high-powered turbocharged petrol unit is available, again with a 3.3-litre capacity, delivering 209 kW at 5,000rpm and 450 Nm of torque from 2,000 to 3,500rpm.
Very low chance of a Lexus variant imo. Lexus has the TX coming shared with the Grand Highlander, and the LX. No space for another SUV, unless they re-start the cancelled LF1 Limitless program.

I agree.
If Mazda has a sedan powered by in-line six in RWD, then there'd certainly be a Lexus variant.
"Toyota saving Mazda by turning Lexus into RWD German-fighting brand" has been for years as much of a Best Car induced wet dream as "Toyota dominating the EV market in 2025 with Solid State Batteries." At the least the latter has some basis in reality.
Even BestCar is now reporting that the RWD Coupe and Sedan may pretty much be cancelled, alongside the Lexus/Mazda sedan development with the EV IS concept being revealed.
THAT SAID, considering Lexus has this "LFR" project derived from the Lexus GT3 concept they are developing.. I think it's fair to say Lexus might have a few more ICE RWD tricks up their sleeves than we think in the near future? I sure hope so.

They're "reporting" it because they have no choice to when both Toyota and Mazda contradicted their little wet dream by unveiling products that have nothing to do with each other.
The idea of Toyota using Mazda's RWD platform or engines for Lexus was devised by Best Car with literally zero basis on any fact beyond the shared factory between Mazda and Toyota to produce the CX-50 and Corolla Cross. It's the definition of reaching. Toss it in the dumpster with their other wet dreams like Toyota using BMW's B58 inline 6 on the IS.
