The good thing about them is if you don't like or want them you don't have to open them. Personally Iike to see what they've come up with.
That’s a good point. There is a setting to disable it if you don’t want to see those holiday animations. I believe Mercedes calls them “Graphical Goodies”
Rained hard sort of a lot, LX completely unfazed going 80 MPH through it all. Can't think of a better vehicle for crappy conditions.
Got here refreshed.
Once we went on vacation and I drove the Enclave, it rained from Knoxville down to the FL panhandle... I was so wiped out and just a mess after that drive, versus this which was nothing.
I still can't believe how quiet this thing is. We were going 85 MPH and whispering to each other testing it.
Plenty of grunt, it's not Denali fast but it'll surprise you with a downshift or two you don't see coming when you boot it. It's sad they dropped that spunky 6-speed for the 8-speed eco-minded transmission which ruined the fun and slowed it down by a lot. Averaged about 19.5 MPG.
Also.... ahhh. Salt!!! All over the sides. I want it off!!!!! My whole family up here said there are legit washes that will get your undercarriage and your car won't rust, I remember we were talking about that earlier.
Feels great at high speeds. Tracks straight for what it is and would cruise at 100 all day.

Amazing how good these vehicles are. Very special. Full time 4WD ensures you won’t lose traction in rain or slick environments

Glad you made it safe.
I just arrived today too, in NC.
Been driving for two days, 750 miles.
Stopped in Brunswick, GA half way yesterday and got a hotel room because I don't drive at night.
Traffic was flowing and weather was nice, I feel blessed to have a good trip so far.
You can also tell it's a very heavy vehicle which makes it feel even more secure in bad weather. It's a heavy *** truck.
< 2500 rpm at 90 mph? hell yea that's a nice tall 6th, switching all those different models to that 8-speed is one of the major bonehead moves pulled off by the 'brainiacs' at toyota management

Arrived safely at my destination. Only a 3 hour drive. 6th gear at 75 is about 2k RPM for me. Truck drove like a dream, but I definitely need to do the brakes while I'm here.
Pic is a little blurry from trying to hold my phone steady at speed.

Did you know at one time, the American manufacturers used to offer full time 4WD. Mostly GM. Ford Explorer has the option. Only Toyota still gives buyers a choice. Now the new Tacoma has full time 4WD as a choice for the consumer. I would never ever buy an American vehicle, ever.

Glad you all made it safe! @AJT123 how is the wind noise isolation at 90? One of the issues I have found with luxury SUVs is once you get over 75 the wind noise really exponentially increases because of the large surface area and big mirrors. Thats another thing that keeps me out of an SUV. Even Range Rovers have that issue. Pacifica is like that too
