General Car Conversation
They dont do run flats on M cars, it's always high performance Pirellis or PSS. At least on the M2 we have won the lottery and it came with Michelins.
You should stick with Michelins on your Benz. Listen to Steve Pitbull, he owns the best independent Mercedes shop I know. He discussed Pirellis at around 2:10

For the SUVs they have PS4 Suv.

In answer to your question and hilariously enough on theme with other responses I snaked out all the cars sunroof drains since I have a complex surrounding the sunroofs leaking ever since the RX had a slight leak requiring me to pull the whole headliner and most of the greenhouse trim off to re-secure and clean everything. Probably fine since that car was clearly driven on beaches at some point in it's life based on the sheer amount of sand in EVERYTHING I took off that also clogged the drains but I am seriously paranoid about it now so I do it once a year for all cars as well as conditioning the seals. I never open any of mine
There was a time when Michelins were just far and away the best quality tires, and nowadays there are a lot of high quality tires.
I will watch that. Issue is I like a soft, quiet tire and Michelin doesn't have anything great. Another choice is the Continental DWS06...but I have heard they can be kind of loud...
I was VERY happy with the many sets of Pirelli Cinturato P7 AS Plus and Plus II I had on my LS460s, but they don't come in a size wide enough for the rears (275s)

You know how I drive so I'll just say the PSAS4 matches up damn well 95% of the time, my other favorite is the Goodyear Eagles since the steering feel is amazing but they kind of suck for lifespan, NVH, and snow will kill you.
The super sports are full on borderline track only tires that are still road legal. They are amazing but wear out insanely fast (under 10k miles) and in many cases people prefer the Goodyear counterpart for steering feel on track.
Pilot super sports are well above the pilot sports, the PS4s is NOT being replaced by the PS5.....the "S" suffix indicates its the extreme performance/hasher version of the summer tire vs the PS5 just being the normal next gen summer tire. The PS4 and 4s have different goals and the 5 and 5s will also follow this pattern.

I get about 15k and 25k miles, respectively. Tread warranty is 25k unless you run staggered like I do.You are right about the trailing S on the PS4 and PS5 designating the PSS successors. I hadn't looked that closely since I won't need a new set until next year (don't drive anywhere near what I used to), and did remember people replacing warn out PSS for PS4, so I had just assumed up to this point.
Not trying to be a contrarian, but I recently replaced my tires on my S2000 with PS4S, and though good, I found my older RE171's much stickier and overall better tire for this car. It shouldn't be too surprising considering the tread wear rating difference. With that said, the PS4S is pretty amazing considering the much longer life I'll get out of them compared to the RE171's.
Oh I'm quite familiar with the Pilot Super Sports, being that I'm on my fifth set of rears and third set of fronts.

The Pilot cups are the ones I was referring to in my head that wear out stupid fast and are used commonly on track. Sorry lol!

Oh, another benefit of FR setup, front and rear tires wear out evenly. On FWD and AWD cars front tires usually wear out a lot faster.
Actually I screwed up terms in my head a little, for some reason I equated the PSS as being the Pilot Cup 2s for whatever reason lol! I have no idea why I crossed those.....yes the PS4s is the successor to the PSS but the normal PS4/5 is not.

I don't need anything near that extreme for my little oil burner.
