Default Any Ideas/Timing on Next Gen LS

Does anyone have any ideas, info, predictions, or inside info on when the next generation LS would likely come?

Most likely never at least as a sedan.
The current version will probably run for many years until Lexus goes fully EV.
I don’t see them developing a new ICE engine.

I'm kind of hoping Lexus refreshes it to better integrate the infotainment, other than that the car is great for what it is. I don't think they will ever cancel the LS, it is their first and most iconic car, it would be like Mercedes cancelling the S class. Eventually it will probably remain as a niche EV just to keep the name going.

It will be refreshed at least one more time. Current car was out in 2018, last generation was the same basic car refreshed 3 times and was out for 10 years. No chance of an all new LS until at least 2027...

Yeah, another refresh is all I can see happening, maybe with the new infotainment system, and maybe with the upgraded hybrid version of the TTV6 from the Tundra. A ground-up total redesign of the LS financially makes no sense at this point.

After killing the GS, nothing is safe. And we've seen even more storied nameplates like the Jaguar XJ get put to the pasture. Unlike an S-Class, the LS nameplate doesn't guarantee sales.

The GS is not as iconic as the LS, the LS is what started the brand. I don't think they will ever kill completely, but who knows. I just hope they dont name a future EV CUV the LS.

They killed off SC, GS, ISF soon RC and RCF.
LS doesn’t really resonate with general public. The ones that remember the glory days of the LS are either car enthusiasts or very old men that have moved on to the Sclass or other competitor model.

The SC was replaced by SC, the rest yeah. I hope there is an OG amongst Toyota top brass who wont let them kill or molest the LS.

I think you meant LC?
Still don’t get why they didn’t retain the “SC” name for the LC.
Also never offered even Fsport trim while the LS does offer one! Lexus is run by clowns and something is definitely lost in translation over there in Japan.

Yes, sorry, thats what I meant.

Sadly, Lexus has been nothing but one disappointment after another for nearly two decades now, I feel that the LS is their only model that has any connection to the Lexus of old with some of its unique hand craftsmanship.

No clue why the LC wasn't the SC! I have always thought that it should have been.

I think the LS model will be CANCELLED after this gen. Sedans are no longer the defacto flagship anymore. Period.

Do you think the S class will even be cancelled?

Lol the LS isn't getting cancelled. It doesn't matter how many CUV's get sold every year. The LS defines Lexus, at least to a lot of us.

I agree with Steve. The 4th gen was out from 2007-2017, a full 11 model years. They will give it a significant refresh at some point ala the 2013 LS.
