Default 2017 RX Windshield

A small pebble hit by windshield and now the crack has gone from a divot to a 6" crack. My question is should I get it repaired at the Lexus dealer or a place like Safelite or Gerber? I think my insurance covers this repair

Replace with the best glass that the Ins covers or your wallet is comfortable with. Safelite installed a mid tier PPG at $425 for our Lexus. There was cheaper and better but this was coming out of my wallet. The Chinese DOT certified import was $350 and the dealer Toyota glass was $1,200. You'll get better clarity with nicer glass so make sure to look through the glass before they mount it.

Trick with insurance is to get them to process the claim as a comprehensive claim instead of a glass claim, then they will cover the OEM glass.
